Heavy Civil Project Manager (Paving and Utilities)

In this position you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of grading and paving projects in the North Alabama area, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating resources, collaborating with a team of superintendents and subcontractors, and ensuring project success. Responsibilities:

• Manage grading and paving projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, coordinating resources including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure all work aligns with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and report on project progress, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and submittals.
• Foster regular and effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Supervise and lead project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, to drive successful project completion.
• Clearly define and communicate project goals and objectives to all stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets and financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities and revenue potential.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil, paving, and underground project management.
• Strong knowledge of grading and paving equipment, materials, and techniques.
• Proven expertise in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams to achieve success.
• Previous experience in highway work preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HCSS, and project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to construction grading projects.

The posted salary or pay compensation ranges are approximate and dependent on applicable experience and qualifications. Upper ranges are flexible.
